U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women’s Health (OWH):  Provides information on breastfeeding, including common challenges faced, pumping and breastmilk storage, weaning and much more.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:  Provides helpful information and tips on nursing and pumping breastmilk as well as additional vitamins and minerals to consider incorporating while in order to ensure proper nutrition for the baby. Tips baby weaning are also provided.

NIH U.S. National Library of Medicine Drugs and Lactation Database (LactMed): The  LactMed database caters specifically to breastfeeding mothers. The searchable database is updated regularly based on published research and provides information on drugs and other chemicals that may be taken by breastfeeding mothers. Potential side effects of medications, approximate levels of drugs in breastmilk and baby’s blood based on dosage and how long the medication remains in the body. In addition, possible alternatives to medications are provided.
